2011 Shanghai Overseas Chinese Charity Concert by Ms. Chow Ching Lie and Her Friends (Detailed Program)
Music and solidarity, the Power of Beauty and of Heart
We invite you to donate or participate to the “2011 Shanghai Overseas Chinese Charity Concert” jointly proposed by the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Association and the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, on April 23rd, 2011 at 19h30, to raise funds to improve:
1) physical conditions of children suffering from brain paralysis;
2) living conditions of elderly overseas Chinese living in China in a precarious situation.
The concert is presented by Chinese musicians having studied or lived abroad such as the famous writer and pianist Ms. Chow Ching Lie, also the author of Journey in Tears (in French Le Palanquin des Larmes). First Chinese female pianist to have played Chinese works in Europe with tremendous success, Ms. Chow Ching Lie, a French born Chinese pianist, decided to return living in Shanghai and continue to make contributions in philanthropy after living 40 years in France.
