Not-For-Profit

The guiding principle of working towards integral development also translates into the choice made by Maverlinn to foster and support a number of not-for-profit operations. In this area, priority is given to cultural and knowledge dialogue and peace-conducive projects and the help given to communities that strive towards integral development. This means for us to be able to share time and profits as expression of our global commitment.

If you want to submit an intercultural or knowledge investment project to us (by email only), please contact greatstories@maverlinn.com. Project synopses should not exceed 2 pages and will be treated as confidential.

Maverlinn aims at preserving and enhancing cultural resources: "Cultural resources" are ways of life, practical knowledge or landscapes and cultural relics that belong to a community as a whole. The community takes its sense of identity from them, it uses them as tool for preserving and adapting its existence. It is ultimately the stuff from which people are able to create and enrich new resources that will help their descendants to go on with the task of living a meaningful existence.

The need to connect together scientific assessments, governmental support and grassroots activism explains for the spread of knowledge networks. The mobilization of cultural resources for nurturing sustainable development - a mobilization achieved through a dialogue on core values, sharing of success stories and exchange of strategic analyses - is exactly what a knowledge network might want to achieve. Maverlinn wishes to foster and develop knowledge networks in its areas of expertise and commitment.
